Hey guys,

So, your marriage is dead and buried, your wife is moving on and you’ve been left in the lurch all alone and don’t know what to do.

There’s so much going on in your mind with emotions of anger, hate, sadness and humiliation hitting you all at once and a impossible list of things to sort out such as the house, the kids, the divorce etc. that you feel completely out of control and overwhelmed.

In fact there’s so much to do that you don’t know where to start, so you don’t do anything except cut yourself off from the outside world, cry and try to sleep.

Well, that’s how I felt anyway and if it rings true with you then welcome to the club.

Although things seem very bleak at the moment, I can promise you that they do get better and you have a hell of a lot to look forward to when you come out the other side – and I’ll tell you about them in a moment.

When you are in the pits of despair, it is difficult see any positives and it seems as though all hope is lost.

Which is why I’d like to ask you to take a leap of faith and trust everything I say below because this will force your mind to cling on to a tiny ray of hope and help you get through the healing process much quicker.

You may not know it yet, but you are about to embark on a new, more-fulfilling, happier phase of your life and if you didn’t feel so shitty right now you’d be rejoicing that the break-up happened and filled with excitement and anticipation about the future.

Think of all the things you were unable to do whilst you were married that you really wanted to but you just accepted as something that was no longer an option. This could be a passion from your younger days that your wife didn’t approve of, a sexual experience you’ve always wanted to try or just doing something cool that your wife wouldn’t let you do. There’s nothing stopping you now – the world is your oyster.

During marriage, you’ll have conditioned your mind to not even contemplate some of your desires but now that the wife is out of the way your free to do whatever you like.

And if your wife was the nagging type or talked too much or turned you into a victim of emotional blackmail, all that is behind you. You’re no longer part of those negative aspects that some relationships suffer from.

And even if you put your wife on a pedestal and she was the most perfect thing in the world to you, the sad fact is that she doesn’t love you and you deserve better. If she loved you, she wouldn’t be putting you through this. No matter how great you think she is, there is someone better waiting for you to bless their life as you will bless theirs and what’s really cool is that with your new relationship, you won’t make the same mistakes as last time.

That’s not to say your ex-wife is a bad person for causing you all this heartache. You don’t need to feel hate or disdain towards her. Instead you should thank her for admitting that she didn’t love you – loveless relationships never work – and allowing you to move on to bigger and better things.

I don’t want anything from you other than your blind belief that your future is going to be awesome. It may seem difficult to believe at the moment and nothing I say will justify it for you at this low point in your life so just trust me – things will get better and you’ll emerge from this relationship break-up wiser, stronger and happier than you were before.

Danny

Welcome to the Life After Wife blog.

My name’s Danny Peterson and the aim of this blog is to help men make the transition from married life to single life.

Separating from a loved one is a traumatic event and we go through many emotional stages as our minds try to cope with the changes that are often forced upon us. Sadness can lead to depression, anger can lead to violence and the sheer influx of emotions all at once can lead to other conditions such as alcoholism and drug abuse. Even if you do not go these extremes, the overwhelming feelings can often get on top of you and the healing process can seem like a long hard road.

I’m here to help you get through it and move on to a better, brighter future.

Through my experience of working with thousands of men in similar circumstances to yourself, I can assure you that you WILL move on with your life and things WILL get much much better. Hell, after a few months many men prefer the lives they have now to their previous life of constant nagging and arguing with their spouse!
